Rebecca M. Blank, one of four finalists interviewing for the position of chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, talks with members of the UW-Madison community during a public reception held in the Main Lounge at the Memorial Union on May 15, 2008. From 1999-2007, Blank was dean of the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, where she remains a professor of public policy and of economics and is co-director of the school's National Poverty Center. Blank is currently on leave and is the Robert V. Kerr Visiting Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution.
